Baseball Programming Rules

Major League Baseball (MLB) is available on many channels dependent on the day of the week or time of the year. It is best to refer to our on-screen programming guide to find games which are available in our area. You may also refer to this MLB broadcast schedule as well.

It is also important to know and attempt to understand the MLB Blackout rules which can often impact televised games.

In short, those rules say the Brewers, Cardinals, Cubs, Royals, Twins and White Sox games' will be blacked out in all areas of Iowa - since MLB claims all of Iowa as the local market for these clubs. However, as you may have noticed, there are many exceptions to these rules based on National TV games or because of programming agreements made by the individual clubs, or even with MLB directly.

We wish we had control over what games were blacked out, but unfortunately those are not decisions we get to make.
