METC is happy to be part of a new recycle program for your old cellular phones. We will donate your working phones with current software to the local Family Crisis Center in Atlantic. Your unused equipment can give added security to many families.

If your phone is non-working, don’t give it a toss! We have an outlet for those also! METC has joined a program where we are reimbursed for non-working phones and batteries. Funds collected from this program are also donated to the Family Crisis Center. Next time you upgrade your phone, think twice about who you might help!

UNDERSTAND Your VERIZON BILL…Some New Verbage!

If you happen to see the term Premium Text on your Verizon bill, this is the new verbage for download charges. Premium Text generally consists of ring tones, games, weather alerts, etc. These charges vary, some are monthly charges and others are a one time charge. Charges are explained at the time of the download in detail and must be accepted to complete download. If you download a monthly charge in error, you may “unsubscribe” through “Get It Now” on your handset.

Verizon Wireless has a website where you can log onto MY ACCOUNT to view your bill, payments, text message charges, premium text charges, etc. This website is a useful tool to help you monitor your account. Don't Lose Your PHONE BOOK CONTACTS!!

Have “My Account” set up and use it regularly? You should try Back Up Assistance! It is a neat way to back up your contacts in your phone book and store them on the Verizon system so if you damage or loose your phone, your contacts are safely stored!
